Stefan Moraes, Founder of Third Wave Group functions as the Chief Architect and Principal Consultant. With over 30 years of corporate experience, one of the youngest to Head HR for a leading Blue Chip Conglomerate at the age of 30 and the youngest Training Manager for a leading five start hotel chain at the age of 25. He has consulted over 600 organizations, across 50 industries including Industry Associations, Blue Chips, Multinationals, Large Conglomerates, Public Sector Organizations, NGO/INGO, family held businesses and SMEs. As a consultant he has served clients across Australia, Japan, Korea, India, UK, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Ethiopia and the Middle East. He has delivered over 2500 training and coaching man days in his career. As MD of Third Wave Group he has successfully launched and established four separate business enterprises that manage six brands in consulting & training, education, and courier services. This experience complements his expertise in new business development, entrepreneurship and building new business models. His core competencies are in corporate strategy, change management, human capital development, business process re-engineering, service strategy and innovation.
He was a founder member and first branch secretary of the CIM Sri Lanka Branch – the first overseas branch of this association, and the former president of the Association for International Standards. He is an accredited auditor of the Malcolm Baldridge Performance Excellence Model, a Certified Consultant and Auditor for; ISO 9000, ISO 14000, Green Globe and Social Accountability. Stefan is the only accredited trainer in Sri Lanka for HR training from Deakin Prime – corporate training arm of the Deakin University Australia.
His passion for mountain climbing and trekking drove him to reach the Everest Base Camp in 2010 and envisions the day when he can support the first Sri Lankan to summit Mount Everest. His pastime includes outward bound training in soft and hard adventure and sports motivation where he has mentored a number of national cricketers in their formation stages.

Sandun Fernando joined 3W Consulting back in 2012 and currently heads the consulting business while playing dual roles as the Lead Trainer/ Senior Consultant.
He clocks over 2,300 hours of training delivery experience covering nearly 3,500 participants at 200+ workshops. Prior to joining 3WC he served as the Head of Business Development at Lanka Hotels & Travels and as the Head of Operations at KaleidoSource Private Limited. Sandun’s 13 years of corporate exposure also includes employment at Serendib Leisure Management of Hemas Group, HSBC Global Resourcing, Duo Software and Peach International at junior and middle management roles. He has domain exposure in hospitality, travel & tourism, business process outsourcing, software development and financial services. He specializes in enterprise renewals, change management and strategic performance. Sandun is a member of the Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD, USA) and has completed certificate level in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He is an international award-winning competitive speaker and is the Toastmasters International (District 82) Champion of Impromptu Speaking, 2016.

Gamini Wijesurendra is a Senior Consultant of 3rd Wave Consulting and is the Finance Director of the Third Wave Group.
He has over three decades of corporate experience specializing in finance & accounting alongside financial modeling, company valuations, feasibility reporting, procurement services, commercial contracting and general administration. Prior to joining Third Wave Group he was the Chief Commercial & Compliance Officer at South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Limited where he was previously the Chief Finance Officer for nine years. His career appointments include Chief Finance Officer at Lanka Bell (Pvt) Limited, Deputy Group Finance Controller at John Keells Holdings PLC and six years managerial experience in the Middle East too.
Gamini is a Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and is a proud product of Trinity College, Kandy. He loves to travel and read during his leisure and believes Bryant McGill when he said “Your calm mind is the ultimate weapon against your challenges. So relax!”
Viran has partnered with the 3rd Wave Group since July of 2014 in the capacity of a Senior Consultant. His scope of work entails looking at new areas of investment and growth for the group. He also assists in using his diverse corporate experience of nearly two decades to coach and mentor associates within the group to reach their full potential.
Prior to his current role he was the Country Manager in Sri Lanka for MAST Global Sourcing - the production and sourcing arm of Victoria's Secret. Under his leadership the MAST operation in Sri Lanka grew to over US$800 million.
Cricket has been a passion for Viran since his school days where he captained St. Joseph’s College 1st XI team in 1990/1991 and he currently serves in the Cricket Advisory Committee of SJC. Viran thoroughly enjoys playing Golf and envisions becoming a professional Golfer. Besides his role in the 3rd Wave Group, Viran and his wife run a small boutique hotel in the South of Sri Lanka.

Dulmi is the Marketing & Business Development Manager and is responsible for the growth of the consulting business and corporate brand marketing. She has over 17+ years’ corporate experience in UK and Sri Lanka, and is an online and digital marketing expert. She excels in global marketing and online PR strategy development in the US, UK and across Europe.
Dulmi’s marcomms experience spans across multiple industries including airlines, banking, online brand protection and IP protection, healthcare IT, domain name management, satellite telecommunications, VoIP telephony, ERP technology in textile/garments, and 3D Visualization for the construction and interior design industries. She also has operational and NOC management experience in UK telecoms, global marketing strategy and digital campaign execution in IT and has worked as a UK digital marketing manager. She has been involved with strategic corporate mergers and acquisitions in the UK managing brand integrations and infrastructure transfers of brand assets.
Dulmi loves human psychology and volunteering in far and remote places like Africa. She finds inspiration in change and challenges and follows R. Buckminister Fuller's quote "You never change things by fighting the existing reality and instead, to change something, you need to build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete."
Branu Jeya is a Junior Consultant and is the Team Leader in charge of operations. Branu has been involved in designing and delivering complex solutions for tier 1 clients such as Aitken Spence, Millenium IT, CLC, Next Sourcing, Hayleys Agri and Keells Super across a wide range of industries. He specializes in program facilitation and is a lead assessor for 3WC competency assessments. Branu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, UK and is a CIMA Passed Finalist. Additionally, he is certified in ISO 13053 process improvements. He is an active marathon runner who trains in Karate and has ventured into arts such as western music and various dance forms. He lives by Mahatma Gandi’s Learning mantra “If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning”.
Sahan Jayasinghe is an Associate Consultant who joined the team in 2014. Since then Sahan has been involved in designing and delivering complex solutions for tier 1 clients such as Aitken Spence, Phoenix Industries, CLC, Galle Face and Keells Super. Prior to joining 3W Consulting, he has been at Ernst & Young as both an internal and an external auditor. During his tenure at Ernst & Young, Sahan has handled projects in industries ranging from hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, finance and ICT. Sahan is a graduate of Edith Cowan University, Australia where he received a double major degree in Management and Marketing and is also a CIMA Passed Finalist. He is an avid football fan with a passion for Manchester United and enjoys reading genres such as fantasy and fiction. He strongly believes J. R. R. Sashi Ratnayake is an Associate Consultant cum Trainer at 3W Consulting. Prior to joining 3WC he has served as a Freelance Journalist at Daily Mirror - Business attached to Wijaya Newspapers and as a Project Manager at eDesigners Pvt. Ltd. Sashi also has over 1.5 years of training delivery experience in communication and leadership disciplines and has conducted many workshops for leading corporate sector organizations such as MAS, Exilesoft and Zone 24x7.
Sashi holds a 1st Class Honors degree specializing in International Business from Staffordshire University, UK. He is also an active member and a competitive speaker attached to Toastmasters International. In addition to his love for public speaking, Sashi takes pride in helping school leavers groom themselves to enter the corporate world. While finding pleasure and joy in the simplest things in life, Conor McGregor inspires him the most with a saying "All that matters is how you see yourself".
Piyumi is an Associate Consultant at 3W Consulting. She has been involved in training and consulting projects for clients such as Aitken Spence, Next Sourcing, Hayleys Agri, and CLC. Prior to joining 3WC she was employed at Stax Inc., a global strategic consulting firm, involved in operations and marketing. Piyumi holds a BA (Hons) from Middlesex University, UK specializing in Business Management and Human Resource Management. Her interests include sports, reading and music and holds a Visharad in violin from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow. She believes in Oprah Winfreys viewpoint that “you get in life what you have the courage to ask for”.
Mohommed Bilal is an Associate Consultant at 3W Consulting. Bilal has been involved in projects across hospitality, apparel, banking and finance industries with tier 1 organizations. Bilal holds an LLB from the University of London and currently reads for his Attorney-at-law exams at the Sri Lanka Law College with aspirations of becoming an influential corporate lawyer. Previously Bilal was interning at the UN involved in the reporting process for projects with foreign and local governments, ministries and NGO’s. Bilal is an active toastmaster and a trainee lifeguard. He prefers to read non-fiction and strongly believes in Andre Berthiaume's quote “We all wear masks, and the time comes when we cannot remove them without removing some of our own skin”.
Shamara Rodrigo is currently an Associate Consultant cum Trainer attached to 3W Consulting having previously been responsible for the coordination of Third Wave International – the training arm of Third Wave Group retailing public programs. She has been involved in designing and delivering complex solutions for tier 1 clients such as Aitken Spence, Hayleys Agri and Nkar Travel House. Prior to her current role, Shamara spent 05 years in Customer Care and Training & Development at Etisalat Lanka Pvt. Ltd. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Teaching, Training & Assessing awarded by City & Guilds, UK as well as a Diploma in Psychology & Counselling awarded by the University of Galway, Ireland. She is presently a final year undergraduate student of the B.Sc. in Psychology & Counselling at Aquinas University College. In her free time, Shamara enjoys reading on her pet topics of Occupational Psychology and Rehabilitation.
