Stefan Moraes, Founder of Third Wave Group functions as the Chief Architect and Principal Consultant. With over 30 years of corporate experience, one of the youngest to Head HR for a leading Blue Chip Conglomerate at the age of 30 and the youngest Training Manager for a leading five start hotel chain at the age of 25. He has consulted over 600 organizations, across 50 industries including Industry Associations, Blue Chips, Multinationals, Large Conglomerates, Public Sector Organizations, NGO/INGO, family held businesses and SMEs. As a consultant he has served clients across Australia, Japan, Korea, India, UK, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Ethiopia and the Middle East. He has delivered over 2500 training and coaching man days in his career. As MD of Third Wave Group he has successfully launched and established four separate business enterprises that manage six brands in consulting & training, education, and courier services. This experience complements his expertise in new business development, entrepreneurship and building new business models. His core competencies are in corporate strategy, change management, human capital development, business process re-engineering, service strategy and innovation.
He was a founder member and first branch secretary of the CIM Sri Lanka Branch – the first overseas branch of this association, and the former president of the Association for International Standards. He is an accredited auditor of the Malcolm Baldridge Performance Excellence Model, a Certified Consultant and Auditor for; ISO 9000, ISO 14000, Green Globe and Social Accountability. Stefan is the only accredited trainer in Sri Lanka for HR training from Deakin Prime – corporate training arm of the Deakin University Australia.
His passion for mountain climbing and trekking drove him to reach the Everest Base Camp in 2010 and envisions the day when he can support the first Sri Lankan to summit Mount Everest. His pastime includes outward bound training in soft and hard adventure and sports motivation where he has mentored a number of national cricketers in their formation stages.

Maljinee Liyanage Attanayake is the Business Head of 3rd Wave Consulting (Pvt) Ltd while functioning as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Third Wave Group.
She has a decade of experience in Management Consultancy, Enterprise Renewal and Change Management having been involved in state of the art management architecture design, program development and delivery. Prior to taking over as Business Head of 3WC, she re-established and headed the group’s Education arm which represents close to 100 global educational institutes. Additionally she is a board director of 3W Express which is a joint venture with Finlays Linehaul Operation, representing RPX Hong Kong.
Maljinee holds a Bachelors in Arts from University of Colombo, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Master Practitioner of Nuero-Linguistic Programming. She believes Ralph Waldo Emerson when he said “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
Gamini Wijesurendra is a Senior Consultant of 3rd Wave Consulting and is the Finance Director of the Third Wave Group.
He has over three decades of corporate experience specializing in finance & accounting alongside financial modeling, company valuations, feasibility reporting, procurement services, commercial contracting and general administration. Prior to joining Third Wave Group he was the Chief Commercial & Compliance Officer at South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Limited where he was previously the Chief Finance Officer for nine years. His career appointments include Chief Finance Officer at Lanka Bell (Pvt) Limited, Deputy Group Finance Controller at John Keells Holdings PLC and six years managerial experience in the Middle East too.
Gamini is a Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and is a proud product of Trinity College, Kandy. He loves to travel and read during his leisure and believes Bryant McGill when he said “Your calm mind is the ultimate weapon against your challenges. So relax!”
Viran has partnered with the 3rd Wave Group since July of 2014 in the capacity of a Senior Consultant. His scope of work entails looking at new areas of investment and growth for the group. He also assists in using his diverse corporate experience of nearly two decades to coach and mentor associates within the group to reach their full potential.
Prior to his current role he was the Country Manager in Sri Lanka for MAST Global Sourcing - the production and sourcing arm of Victoria's Secret. Under his leadership the MAST operation in Sri Lanka grew to over US$800 million.
Cricket has been a passion for Viran since his school days where he captained St. Joseph’s College 1st XI team in 1990/1991 and he currently serves in the Cricket Advisory Committee of SJC. Viran thoroughly enjoys playing Golf and envisions becoming a professional Golfer. Besides his role in the 3rd Wave Group, Viran and his wife run a small boutique hotel in the South of Sri Lanka.
He finds inspiration in the words of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow who said, "The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, they while their companions slept were toiling upward in the night".

Sandun Fernando is the Lead Trainer and a Consultant with the 3rd Wave team and has over 1,300 hours of training delivery experience covering nearly 1,850 participants. Prior to joining the team he has served as the Head of Business Development at Lanka Hotels & Travels and as the Head of Operations at Kaleidosource Private Limited. Sandun has spent over a decade in the corporate sector working for companies like Hemas Serendib Leisure, Duo Software, Peach International and HSBC Global Resourcing mainly in customer service and relationship management, sales & marketing, knowledge transfers, business process re-engineering and revenue management areas. He has domain exposure in hospitality, travel & tourism, business process outsourcing, software development and financial services. Sandun is a member of the Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD) and has completed certificate level in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He is an international award-winning speaker and is ranked amongst the 6 best evaluation and impromptu speakers in the region by Toastmasters International (District 82).
Apart from competitive public speaking and sports motivational coaching, Sandun loves to spend his time with the youth empowering them to achieve more in life. Chetan Bhagat has inspired him immensely with his quote “Don’t be serious, be sincere”.

Imani Perera is the Business Development Manager and part of the 3rd Wave Consulting team. Prior to joining Third Wave Group, she was at Hayleys Group; one of Sri Lanka’s largest diversified conglomerates with sectors ranging from manufacturing to transportation, agriculture to leisure, where she headed Learning and Development, in addition to being a member of the Group HR and Corporate Communications Clusters and Recreation Club. She subsequently held responsibilities in Trade Marketing at Hayleys Consumer Products Ltd. Imani holds an MBA and a B.A.(Hons.)Eng. from the University of Colombo and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM, UK at which exam she was awarded the Sri Lanka prize for Marketing in Practice. She has benefited from international training by participating at the Strategic HR Management Course at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Her interests include theatre, singing and staying fit and she strongly endorses Charles Swindoll’s viewpoint that “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it”.
Rathika Fernando is the Manager Operations of 3rd Wave Consulting (Pvt) Ltd where she also acts as a Trainer & Facilitator for assignments conducted by the company. She started her career as a Software Engineer at Teamwork Technology. Eventually she moved in to the role of Business Analyst and later joined Exilesoft (Pvt) Ltd. During her career in IT, she also functioned as a team leader and project manager, working with clients from Scandinavia and Australia. During this time she realized she enjoyed conducting training programs and switched to a new career as a freelance trainer. Immediately prior to joining 3rd Wave Consulting, she conducted the Presentation Skills workshops for the level 2 students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka.
However, her passion is for the study of spirituality and all things esoteric as well as occult. This thirst led her to study spiritual healing modalities such as Reiki, Pranic Healing and Crystals Therapy. Currently she has completed the Angels Reiki Masters level and is also qualified to conduct Past Life Regression Therapies. Having graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Moratuwa, Rathika believes that her background in Physics allows her to bridge the gap between science and spirituality. She is also qualified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. On the earthly level Rathika is an active Toastmaster and is a past President of Smedley Toastmasters Club. She has also taken part in numerous speech contests at Toastmasters where she has been placed in the top 3 at Division level. As a Toastmaster she has achieved the Advanced Communicator Bronze and Advanced Leader Bronze awards. She has a wide range of interests including reading, meditating, music, singing, dancing, sewing and travelling. Rathika firmly agrees with Abraham Lincoln that “the best way to predict the future is to create it”.
Lahiru Jayampathie is an Innovative, results oriented professional employed as an Associate Consultant of 3rd Wave Consulting team. During his tenure at 3rd Wave Consulting, Lahiru has managed operations and developments of complex projects in diverse industries with a proven track record of delivering project objectives whilst exceeding client and management expectations.
Prior to joining 3rd Wave Consulting, he has been consulting and handling people development, process innovation, strategic planning, knowledge management assignments at Ministry of Agriculture, Agrarian Development, Minor Irrigation, Industries, Environment, Culture & Art Affairs Western Province; where he led the way in achieving “B” Grade in National Productivity Awards, first time in history for a provincial ministry.
Lahiru is a graduate of Staffordshire University, UK where he received a B.A.(Hons) in Business Administration. He is an adrenaline junkie with great passion for automobiles and believes firmly in fitness and good health. He strongly trusts Robert Collier‘s viewpoint that “Success is the sum of small efforts – repeated day in and day out”.
Dharshana Iswera is an active member of the 3rd Wave Consulting team since 2012 and has facilitated consulting projects as well as training & development assignments. She was involved with service delivery, leadership and corporate strategic planning projects for clients such as HSBC, Dialog Axiata Plc, Cinnamon Hotels, Fairway Holdings and Keells Super.
Dharshana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Hons) specializing in Finance from University of Pune, India. She is also an acknowledged scholar of ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations). In addition, she was the only Sri Lankan student selected for the Symbiosis International University Student’s Council 2010-2011 in India. She is a member of WOSY (World Organization of Student and Youth) under The UN, propagating international understanding and co-operation with the approach "World is a Family".
